Devolution of power to local government is part of the Government’s agenda to bring greater decision making to councils. Many local authorities are already starting the journey to consider ultimately taking on more decision making powers.
The National Association of Councillors has been examining the current proposals and has identified many questions around the proposals and what it may mean to Councils.
We aim to consult with member authorities to gain the views of proposals.
